Politician

Going home tomorrow to be with the family days before the school starts again (after being officially out of school in 8 days but who cares). Nice to be back in normal routines again although it already began yesterday when I sat in in the library again and checked my essay before I turn it in tomorrow before the trains leave.

Otherwise, nothing happening. Well, except that the Swedish military conscript is disappearing. Not much to say about that as I never did military service, I wanted to but lacked the strength (and the only reason why I wanted that was to avoid make any decision on what to do with my life for a year and earn some money). Worked out fine anyway. Right now I would say we should keep the old system, but that could be my conservative side that screams for not changing anything. Maybe it will be a good idea, I don't know. What I do no is that people always try to appear more than they are. After reading an article on Newsmill trying to make a connection to France culture arrogance and their weakening export and this created a debate about immigration and whatnot. I will not go in there cause I see it below me. But some of the comments are funny somehow. Especially one that states "fine, it could be like that with all the statistic but statistic has also proven the correlation between sea pirates and global warming" and then make it sound ridicules. Now, I'm not much into this, I'm a political scientist foremost, but I believe that that correlation is actually true. Take thee facts for example:

1) Global warming heats the atmosphere including the oceans.
2) Certain fish species have adopted to a specific climate in the water.
3) Many pirates are former fisherman.

So I would say that global warming heats the oceans, the fish disappears from its normal habitat and the fisherman who used to fish there lose their income and then turns to pirates in desperation. Logical. He chose a really bad example. Where did I learn this? Golden Sun of course!

Also as a side note my view on immigration is that it shall continue do to some reasons:

1) The Swedish population are not reproducing itself and many are moving away from Sweden.
2) Without a workforce, who would want to start a business that can't expand?
3) If we close the borders, will we make the necessary arrangement to fix the problems? Probably not, we take the money and use it for something else and when we must open the borders again, it will be all the same again. It doesn't fix the problem, it just postpone it to our children and so onward.

What we must do is fix the integration while we have it open to adjust it what happens. If the politicians knew or cared they could easily try to explain it to the population. But as always, we have the politicians we deserve.
