Back In Black

Finished first class session and one more to go. Project management or whatever it's called in English and then it's Spanish class left. Fun to see so many new faces and some old ones so it doesn't feel like I'm completely alone. Bad thing is that Spanish begins 18:15 and ends at 21:00. It's late, every Tuesday onward. Good thing is that it never is in the way for other activities (cause what ever happens on a Tuesday?) except these first two weeks. Today is the first day for the Freshman and I can't join my student organization as I have already pointed out I end class 21:00 and begin tomorrows class 08:15. It's not a good point in getting a hangover for that. There will be other chances.

On the gaming front I began playing Battalion Wars for the Gamecube, a really fun game. Commanding a couple of soldiers in a war against stereotypical Russians and Germans as the stand in for the Americans (of course the story ave different names for them, but the accents make it very clear who they should be). Feels good running in to combat with flamethrowers, bazookas, anti-air and rifles against enemy forces and see them be destroyed. Of course the art style and the dialog makes it a take that against the cold-war. The Western Frontiers (America) and Tundran Territories (Soviet/Russia) have been at war for ages and established a demilitarized zone between them. Power shift in Tundran from Tsar Gorgi to his son Marshal Nova that wants peace. Tsar Gorgi don't like it, the forgotten nation Xylvania (Germany) enters and Frontiers and Territories joins together and later get some help from the Solar Empire (Japan). The sequel is also good, Battalion Wars 2, the story is just about the Solar Empire being attacked by the Anglo Islands (UK) for they belive they have developed a secret weapon...oh, I think they meant something with that. Of course the Xylvanians are to be blamed.

In the real world on the other hand the Swedish-Israeli controversy is escalating. Now IKEA and Norway is also caught in the cross-fire. One of the worlds most ridicules fights in history. It almost borders on the insanity of the Soccer war. Of course, if the Israeli would declare war go ahead as the politicians have already demilitarized Sweden. But it would be a bit disappointing that almost 200 years of peace ends because one very awful evening tabloid wrights something that even a child would understand is completely bs.
