Only one episode left of season 3
The kids are allowed an audience with the sheik of the beduins who gives them the second veil and personally show them the way to a temple of the stars where the same symbol lies. Meanwhile Zares ship have been spotted so Mendoza and the beduins prepare to fight him off with their flying machines. Laguerra follows the kids. At the temple they figure out the puzzle in order to get light to shine through the two veils showing a map to the the fourth city of gold. I'm reminded of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and the great wall where you had to put four emblems together in order to open a gate. They follow the map with Laguerra right behind them and they get to a statue head surrounded by a mountain range that only could be entered when Esteban called down the sun to show the shadows of the lion and the serpent where they placed the medallions. Standing infront of the statue activated its eyes and as they ground crumbled revealing the whole statue, its eyes fired a beam of light creating a bubble that protected the kids high in air while the city activated itself and let them of at the entrance.
Meanwhile the air battle starts fine as they are able to slow it down, but once Ambrosius uses the Black Sun he picks the machines one by one. Malik and Mendoza boards the ship, but Malik gets captured by Zares who throw him overboard (onto the sheiks flying machine) and Mendoza is captured. Apparently Laguerra have been signalling Zares by some pendant and boards the ship as they fly towards the fourth city of gold.
The documentary was about inspiration of the Temple of the Stars. I thought it was just Petra in Jordan, you know from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but apparently it was a tomb of Darius the first in Iran that inspired them. If both are connected I wouldn't know. Then they talked about the dromedary and how hard they are to control. Makes me think of the llamas in Tintin and the Temple of the Sun.
