The Mysterious Cities of Gold - S3E26 - Kumlar

Kumlar, the fourth city of gold

Mendoza is captured and locked up below deck. The kids wanders through the city and finds a place where they can create holographic copies of themselves and an image of the princess that made the veils and the last princess of Mu. They deduce that the double medallion she is wearing is the important treasure from this city as it allows one to only need that to open the next city of gold. Meanwhile Ambrosius and his team arrived at the princess tomb where he destroyed the statue warning anyone to desecrate the tomb. As the children run towards the tomb the light goes out of the structure (the structure appearing as sand, but is orichalcum dust, appearing as nano-machines). Mendoza is able to get a flask he breaks to cut his bonds with while Gaspard is on the way. Laguerra tries to persuade the kids to turn back, but they runs through to the tomb. At the tomb Ambrosius have gotten his hand on the double medallion and are about to destroy the kids with the Black Suns, but Zia uses her telekinesis and throws the crown away and grabs the double medallion. Ambrosius attacks her and pushes her to the side were the ground is slipping away into sand. Esteban grabs hold of her while Tao goes for Ambrosius. Laguerra picks him off Ambrosius so he goes to help Esteban. Mendoza arrives and grabs hold on the children. While Ambrosius runs away Laguerra returns to help them, she and Mendoza kiss, but she is captured by Gaspard that was given orders to bring her back and our heroes fall, but lands on some flying discs they've been using getting around the city. As they escape the falling city Zia gets the next medallions from the eyes off the statue after been shown it at the tomb. As they stand over the ruins they see Ambrosius escape and vows to stop him from getting to the next city first... but that won't be until season 4. Hopefully only one year until the next french release since they seem to take 3 years to produce.

The documentary was about the architectural inspiration from the final city. And the last segment was just a look back on all the people they meet in the documentaries this season.

Overall, I think I like this season better than the 2nd one, maybe not as much as season 1. The music is better, and the animation seems better, although it can still be floaty with the characters, but it doesn't look like as slow as season 2 could be. Also, more things happen, you get on much faster which is proven by that we actually got two cities of gold this season, leaving 3 more. Ambrosius as a villain is explained and it is more connections with season 1 with Gaspard and Doctor Laguerra. Can't wait for season 4. And I gotta buy the dvd-set for this season as well.
