So I'm back in Karlstad after one week at my family's home celebrating midsummer. Lucky enough I have saved up a lot of stay-away-point (points that show how much your siblings put up with you when you are together, compare to my oldest little sister that have been home every second week and now they are really tired of her) so it wasn't that bad. Continuing on with the midsummer celebrations it was as usual. Raining a bit around noon and then be very nice, eating around 3 p.m. after everyone FINALLY finished their food. And later it was time to play the yearly game of Kubb.
Somehow I was chosen as one of the team captains and my oldest little sister the other team leader. As the Captain of the team I put together a overall good team. The game began and our defense lines came under heavy fire from the opposing team. We almost got our defense lines shattered by the bombardment until I had to show them who was the captain. 3 throws later and we have reversed the balance of power to our advantage and pushing back the other team and destroying their defense line. Victory was ours and the next round began. After some team changes due to let everyone play we started again. Encouraged by our former victory we take the lead and push them back, but it slowly turned into a war of attrition with us leading, but slowly falling back. The lead we had was enough to take us to victory once again and establishing who's the leading captain.
Not much happened after that except some tanning in the sun. That is until Monday when the only allowed slavery in the western world is practiced, child labor (I still see myself as a child). It's painting the house on the southern end in deadly warm sunlight. No escape, the sun burned my skin, red liquid flowing down my body while slaving for my parents (of course it was just paint but it sounds better with liquid as saying blood would be lying). Nothing else happened after that except the traditional Midsummer Murders at Tuesday evenings. Always.
Also the trip back home was horrible the first hour as the sun brutally shined upon the train and directly at me sitting at a window seat. Sweat flowing down in streams at my sunburned face while the burning pain at my back ached during the trip. I wish I was in Antarctica.
