Nightmare

On this hot day, I've accomplished nothing of worth. To any of you of course, for myself its been a day to strengthen self-confidence and take back some stolen youth, living in fear of illusions created by my mind and others. I played The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The only 3D Zelda game that I haven't cleared yet. Ocarina of Time took me 6 years to finish. The reason? Scarred, nothing is scarier than not see your enemy, but knowing that it's out there, watching patiently, all while music that calls forth memories of the darkest nightmares in ones mind. I hated 3D games, 2D was eighter from above or sidescrolling, clear vision over the whole field.

Majora's mask was scarier then them all. You have three days before the total destruction of the world you're in. The Moon, coming closer and closer with its evil grin on the face till the final day when the whole worlds shakes as it comes closer, the happy music that echoed around the only city have a hard time to silence the more dangerous and dooming music behind it. And that's just the settng. Worst of all is THE WELL!!!, the place I stoped at last time I played it, as well why it took 6 years clearing Ocarin of Time as they also had one. God, I hated those places. I never even stepped into the well in Majora's Mask, I was so scarred. No problem today though. Older and wiser then before and some more courage. Hopefully that's enough.

Also, today is 300 year since the Russian defeated and more or less began the ending of the Swedish empire. Seems like '09 is a very bad number for Sweden. 1509 we lose big time to the Danish, 1609 King Charles IX suffers a brain damage, 1809 the Russian takes Finland from us. 1909 on the other hand we gain voting rights for all men, our first nationalparks and some other good stuff. Seems like the Finish caused all the problems.

Fire Lasts Forever

What to say, what to say. Nothing seems to happen around here. No interesting news (yes, I know Michael Jackson is dead, but I don't have anything to say about that). The sun is shining constantly outside y window. Heating the walls of my apartment so that it feels like I'm being cooked inside. Also it wouldn't help to go out as the heat would be devastating outside. No, 4 more months and autumn will come back and we get some cooler weather.

Also, in an effort to lose some weight (weighed 86 Kg during my last check, that's 1/2 kg per month since January) I decided to change diet. A healthy salad with cucumber, carrots, lettuce, feta, tomatoes, guacamole and some chicken. Takes forever to eat. It takes 2 hours to eat a plate and I don't think it's to much, it's just boring to eat. The chicken is dry and the vegetables are not really taste sensations that fill my tongue with heavenly nectar. But it's probably healthy. It's kinda cheap to.

If the food doesn't help, then probably the steam room I call apartment can probably make me sweat some of the kilos away. Cause there is no other way around it, no...except something some people call exercise but that's just overkill. Really, how can anyone train in this heat that makes the fires of hell appear as the arctic. Hmm, that sounds like something I said last year, and the year before that and the year before...well, sometime needs to be the first.

The Chains Are On

So I'm back in Karlstad after one week at my family's home celebrating midsummer. Lucky enough I have saved up a lot of stay-away-point (points that show how much your siblings put up with you when you are together, compare to my oldest little sister that have been home every second week and now they are really tired of her) so it wasn't that bad. Continuing on with the midsummer celebrations it was as usual. Raining a bit around noon and then be very nice, eating around 3 p.m. after everyone FINALLY finished their food. And later it was time to play the yearly game of Kubb.

Somehow I was chosen as one of the team captains and my oldest little sister the other team leader. As the Captain of the team I put together a overall good team. The game began and our defense lines came under heavy fire from the opposing team. We almost got our defense lines shattered by the bombardment until I had to show them who was the captain. 3 throws later and we have reversed the balance of power to our advantage and pushing back the other team and destroying their defense line. Victory was ours and the next round began. After some team changes due to let everyone play we started again. Encouraged by our former victory we take the lead and push them back, but it slowly turned into a war of attrition with us leading, but slowly falling back. The lead we had was enough to take us to victory once again and establishing who's the leading captain.

Not much happened after that except some tanning in the sun. That is until Monday when the only allowed slavery in the western world is practiced, child labor (I still see myself as a child). It's painting the house on the southern end in deadly warm sunlight. No escape, the sun burned my skin, red liquid flowing down my body while slaving for my parents (of course it was just paint but it sounds better with liquid as saying blood would be lying). Nothing else happened after that except the traditional Midsummer Murders at Tuesday evenings. Always.

Also the trip back home was horrible the first hour as the sun brutally shined upon the train and directly at me sitting at a window seat. Sweat flowing down in streams at my sunburned face while the burning pain at my back ached during the trip. I wish I was in Antarctica.

Comin' Home

So I'm going home for the first time in 6 months. Fun and sad at the same time. Sound strange? Not really, it's fun to be home again and to see the family again (for a short time, any longer time period and I go nuts) but it's sad to know that now summer break and everyones really gone (yeah, I know, I'm being angsty about this). Hey, it's midsummer so on with the happy faces for a week now.

Another problem with going home is that I will be isolated for the whole week. Internet communication is down to 1 computer that are shared by 6 individuals and no wireless. If that wasn't enough there is 1 hour walk in to Vagnhärad and the buses goes 2-3 times a day to both directions. Then there is almost nothing there as well, but funny enough, we do have a cloth store, and 3 pizza restaurants, 3 petrol stations, 2 small supermarkets (it's the only word I know that can explain it but they are not really super) and a couple of barbershops. Nothing of interest. Of course I hope I can get some tan and maybe start to run of all those chocolate bars that somehow entered my mouth together with all the soda that just happpened to follow it. Yes, I know, I'm weak.

Also started the summer statistic course so know it's time to pick forward all the hidden math knowledge that have been stored somewhere in my mind...or I can ask my mother if she has any idea what I'm supposed to do, she's a math teacher after all. Or even better, I can ask my friends that have actually done the course, my friends that are all gone...sob (angst cloud appearing over my head, just kidding, I'm taking it rather well, but it's still a bit sad that they are gone now, see this as a therapist moment for myself).

So what am I gonna do at home? The biggest thing is the midsummer celebration that almost all Swedes have, it's one of the biggest holidays in Sweden. One of the few non-Christian ones actually and with all the heathen symbols it's a surprise that it's still around. Funny enough the whole universe is following the traditions of that day. It always rains that day around noon or before and then the clouds disappear in the afternoon to make it a really good day. EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Other than that I brought along a 80's TV-series box with one of the best children shows ever (I know, I'm 21 and still watch children cartoons, but they were better in the 80's and 90's than now) The Mysterious Cities of Gold. The one that will enjoy this the most is probably dad who is a more cartoon fan that any other in the family. Well enough for now, until next time! (If you didn't get it I don't blame you, it is a paraphrase of the ending comment of the narrator in the educational 5 minutes part in the show that is uttered 39 times so if you have seen it, you know this but it is almost 20 years since it appeared last time on television, probably a very bad way of ending this)

Mother Russia

I've discussed my views on religions before and how most of the organized religions are more or less a creation of humans desire to take control of its existence and then the people around them. Now one of the bigger Swedish newspaper are discussing why secularism is more common in Europe than the rest of the world. Best line is when the author describes that one possibility is that since the 1700-century with the 30 Years' War (sometimes described as the first world war when even Sweden participated) the nobility has tried to divide politics and religion and then the author makes the best comment ever:

But the Europeans have been succeful to find other reasons to kill each others

Very true indeed. Also the comments are discussing fanaticism in it's many forms and that even spill over on those non-religious groups as well. That point is proven with one of the commentators that trashes the other with point after point being proven wrong and still keeps denying he is wrong in his quest to protect the humanistic movement (whatever that is). There you have a fundamental person without a religion. Nice way of proving the others right.

More religious preaching. One lady (never discuss a womans age, but she look old) is saying that Sweden needs a conservative party of European standards that talks about morals. She's citing some statistics that most voters want to preserve the Swedish traditions and such and mention that even the left wants that. That's the biggest problem in her logic. First of conservatism is about preserving the old and slowly change it represented with the Moderate Party and the Christian Democrats (She wants these 2 parties to take a more European conservatism instead of the socialization we have). No problem so far? The problem is that the Social Democrats have ruled Sweden for almost 74 years with only 9 years non-Social Democratic rule and then of course 2006 until today. The conservatism was created as a way to stop the French revolution to spread and the radicalism it meant. So what's the problem? The Swedish conservatism is radical compared to the socialism the left is talking about. The values everyone in Sweden should see as traditions and whatnot is fairness and justice as that has been the norm the politicians have given us for 70 years. The left is looking back at the 60's and 70's before the 80's turned our heads around.

You see the problem? We have different views of conservatism. Conservatism in Europe is lead by the Christian Democrats while in Sweden that party has not nearly enough supporters to keep them in the Riksdag. Conservatism also stands for the church and it's morals as seen by the parties names, but in Sweden it has been the politicians that have set the moral standards (believe it or not) as the church have been firmly tied to the politicians (and still is). A follow up question is how long does it take for the party in power to become the conserving force in politics? The only reason for conservatism being on the right side of the political scale is that it has been associated with the preservation of monarchies and the systems that existed. The left was the alternatives that wanted to change the systems, but in Sweden (and the Nordic countries overall) they succeeded. They changed systems and are now trying to preserve it and therefor are the new conservative parties. So, even how contradictional it sounds, beig on the right side of the political scale is being radical and system changing. Mind shocking is in it?

Final point of today They showed an documentary about Peter the Great of Russia. It so fun when they begin to talk about the Great Northern War and the objectives of Russia at that time. You don't feel anything else than boyish pride when they talk about Sweden as the great northern military stronghold with the military genius king Charles XII. Even funnier today (or sadder depending on how you see it) when we discuss the future of the Swedish military that due to budget cuts seems to disappear from nothing. From the worlds fourth greatest military power in the 70's to todays barely standing bureaucratic tower of babel. Not talking about nr 1 military power in the beginning of the 1800-century. It really went downhill after the Russians did what they usually do: Retreating east, looking at their population and say "gather some peasant's as cannon fodder, the enemy don't have that many people to waste!". Really, how are gonna win against someone that have the largest country and population in the world (don't know about China but we didn't fight them) and sends wave after wave of soldiers at you? It doesn't matter when one of your soldier represents 4 Russian troopes when they muster 14 soldiers on one of yours.

We didn't reach Moscow, but at least neither the French or the Germans were able to conquer them (but they took Moscow). Damn Russia and their pact with Old Man Winter.

Pride before the fall

Watching the 80's classic V on TV, those special effects are really old today. Still a bit saddened by the fact that school ended and everyones gone. So I fill the time with lot of studies, the first day I was in the library, again (seriously, I need a life). Fine tuning the essay before giving it away to the archive. Not that much fault except a drifting in purpose but not that seriously. Oh, and that I might have used to long sentences sometimes of 7-8 lines, but I kinda like them. It makes the text flow like a raging river that gets a hold on you and drag you with it down the stream. No hacks, just a flowing text. Apparently no one else saw it like that. Otherwise it was kinda OK.

No political event to speak about except the total collapse of the Student Organization that runs around like a confused chicken. So we continue with a Golden Sun monologue. Another possible scenario for the new game. So this world has lot in common with our own with large portions consisting of familiar continents, the only big difference is that it is flat and have an edge and the act that it's need a magical force to exist, in this case alchemy. I read somewhere (don't remember where) about an idea that it was our world in the ancient past mostly based on the geography similarities.

(Just to be fair and keep anyone from my back, the picture doesn't belong to me, but is a (TM) of Nintendo and Camelot). Of course, with 4 huge lighthouses standing on four corners of the earth it's kinda hard to believe. But one thought would be that in the end after maybe mankind misuse this powers once again and that it is up to the players to somehow seal it away but still not let the earth be destroyed by being cut from the thing that keeps the world to erode away. A possible way to deal with this would be to unleash the lighthouse's power so that the world absorbs it and grows to the planet we know it with the cost that alchemy never can be used by mankind again. Also, most of the ruins and such in the world would collapse and disappear as they were built with psynergy and therefore the glue that hold it together would cease to exist. It's plausible or at least in my mind.

I'm Alone

So it's done. My essay has been opposed or whatever you call it and I've opposed someones else essay. No problems there. Unfortunately it was a kinda sad break-up now cause this was the last time together in school with some of my friends I've know for 3 years. Next semester most of them are in Stockholm with only me from '06 being left in Karlstad at the political scientist program. Probably (I hope at least) we will see each others again afterwards (the world isn't that big and Sweden is even smaller). Still, it leaves a bitter sweet taste afterwards to see everyone just disappear. Of course some are back in Spring '10, but then it's definitely over after that.

On the political front we have that the former party leader Alf Svensson was able to snatch KD:s only seat in the European Parliament from the first name Ella Bohlin. Though I would never vote for a Christian right-wing party (mostly out of the belief that you should never mix religion and politics) but I'm happy that they choose Alf as even I like him. Especially compared to Ella who seems to be a Creationist and that is enough to complain about her, then the party even tried to hide that up with some good-looks and as well try to bribe their moral code upon the people. Her biggest thing was that from the EU, we should lower the amount of Alcohol allowed to bring across borders. First, it's only a problem in Sweden as it is damn high here (although I accept it as it serve to give us a better health, humans are stupid you now), secondly (even though it sounds like it contradict my former statement), what gives them a right to put up bans on things? The contradiction is in fact that I gladly accept the government, but not from a religious party. What's the difference? A government can be proven wrong while religious groups have this sick attitude that they are untouchable with words from god (who was in fact written by man, except the Qur'an according to tradition, but you get skeptical that one person disappears in the desert for some days and then comes back and write down something he was thought from an angel).

Second political news are the fact that the Swedish government finally abolished the forced sign up to the student union and the fee that was connected to that. Also the fee wasn't national, but you had to pay every student union you signed up in at every University. The money then was used to finance the Unions activities that no one else than the union itself knows what they do. The most bizarre thing is that when this was announced the Unions (on their own) claimed that the new system was awful due to that they believed NO ONE was going to pay this fee. If that doesn't show a disconnection from reality I don't know. They know the students will leave them due to no one knows what they do and they claim they lose their privilege. Somehow they are not very subtle that they lost the trust with the students and now need to earn it. It's fun to see the Tower of Babel fall out of hubris that is the one greatest weakness of mankind.

Also, out of boredom and no Golden Sun monologue to use I was walking the wiki walk I found myself reading about the Malibu Surfer Problem. The problem is that with social welfare some people could be getting social insurance money and do nothing as the state pay for it. A common problem so you need to keep the level of money high enough so that they can survive every day life, but so low that they are willing to look for a job and begin pay taxes. So, mostly I see a benefit in the system but the problem is serious and some Americans (nothing against you) claim that the system is worthless and only creates such persons, but a smart writer then put up that the country with most Malibu Surfers is USA and mentioned Paris Hilton as one (she doesn't even deserve a link). That's humor on a high level.

Elected

Due to the election yesterday I will now put away my Golden Sun monologues for a while. The Swedish election saw me voting on a a winning party, Liberal People's Party (fp)with 13,6 % of the voters. The "big" winners is the Pirate Party (pp)with 7,1 % of the votes. Of course the most interesting thing is that we got ca 44% of the Swedish people to vote in the election and with this breaks the negative trend of lowering the the voters outcome. Taking these numbers into the calculation the special number of 7,1 will not lead the pp to the Riksdag as it only is 3% of the whole Swedish voting population. Also, it's not that special as the June List (jl) that went from 0% to 14,5% in the last European election (funny enough they were kicked out this election) and could have had the possibility to get more than the 4% minimal national vote, but they didn't. And they did at least have a broader perspective than just one area, integrity as they call it. I don't think they will enter the Riksdag, if they do I don't care cause no one is going to hold me accountable for it anyway.

Watching the public service election watch I thought upon a lot of things:
1) One young man (who am I to call him young) complained that the old parties didn't listen to them and asked what they should do to be heard. Answers simple, none of you listen to each other as they talk beside each other out of arrogance as heard by the old ones to not listen, but also by the young ones that scornfully calls them old ones and don't want to engage in a dialog to change them from inside. The old parties are controlled by those who believe and see one way dimension but never faces an opposition from inside. Outside opposition usually makes them close tighter. Young ones just want to vote or make the parties have the same opinion themselves but never take responsibility from those choices by being inside the organization.

2)The leader of pp was in the studio for 5 seconds and sounded like a full blood politicians but looked like a brat from Stureplan. Made me sick of the back slick hair. He was the fourth most awful politician speaking that night as the first and second the leaders of the biggest parties in Sweden, Mona Sahlin and Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. None of them could get away from the internal politics to talk about EU and Europe and lucky enough the voters punished them for this (I hope). And thirdly the Centre leader Maud Olofsson that somehow talked about that those that gave the most won and that they had to negotiate with the others in the coalition as the leaders of Sweden. COME ON, in the European Parliament election you are not bond by the government coalition. It is here the parties should profile themselves from each other. They don't NEED to negotiate with their governmental buddies, they are not even in the same group as two of them. Back to school with her and banish her party from the Riksdag in 2010 and never let this witch return.

3) Many commenter's talk about the usefulness of sending well-known faces to the European Parliament like Marit Paulsen but that didn't help the Social Democrats (s) with Marita Ulvskog, I'm not surprised as she is known for being dumb and foulmouthed. Not a good thing to get voters to flock to your party. I hate her so much.

Now you think you're safe, but you are wrong, here's another Golden Sun monologue. Talking about the descendant scenario, it's possible to imagine that it surrounds the rescuing of their children due to this poster:It look to much like the original characters (or at least 3 of them). Then again it is not known for being an original series and the Japanese usually reuse some of their character sprites anyway. The funny thing about being just 3 characters is that it appears to be Isaac, Garet and Mia, the same trio that appeared in the first promo pictures for Golden Sun 1 beta. Coincidence? I think not. Saving ones children is usually a huge driving force for anyone and by using the older character it would make more sense. Due to the ending of the second game Isaac achieved one part of the powers that consist of the Golden Sun, so if this is going to play an important part of the story it either to be in the genes of his descendants and they are being sacrificed or fighting against Alex as he tries to claim it for him selves or Issac himself is being sacrificed so that Alex takes the power. For being the noble and idealistic leader of the first game (and somewhat the second, he was the true protagonist for being chosen by the Wise One).

Besides, me and many others are tired of the Japanese of the kid hero stereotype that saves the world. Give us a hero with ideals and are over his 30's still fighting for them as he still find it believable. The problems is how they are gonna diminish his powers so that you can learn from the beginning. This could be a great setting for a one on one battle between Alex and Issac that ends with Alex crushing Isaac and throwing him at his child (that probably released him in the first place, kids are annoying you know) then somehow absorbs the golden sun and Isaacs powers. Perfect sacrifice and a reason once again travel the world and see some familiar faces and some new ones. That would be great.

Futureal

Election day, I've already voted. It became the liberals for the first time. Of every party in the election there was only 2 that showed what they want, even tough some of their question didn't have anything to do with the election. It was according to me June list and the Liberal People's party. One want EU to diminish its holds over the member states while the other one want to strengthen the cooperation. To end of the spectrum then. As a nerdy political scientist I now wait for the election night watch party on SVT. More interesting than the football game yesterday which we lost with 0-1 to Denmark. And that's the first time we lose against the Danish. Nice going.

Now we continue with the Golden Sun monologues. This time it's about what may be plausible to come in the future game. First of, the antagonist must be Alex:

Being dragged into the core of the earth after obtaining immense power and near immortality can't kill of such a cool character. Even the equivalent of a god in the game that trapped him on the mountain top that descended into the earth said that it was plausible for him to come back if he survived.

Really, if they never found the body, he isn't dead. Secondly, He must have a 4-headed dragon as a final form, all the others final bosses had first a 2-headed dragon and then a 3-headed dragon. Can't break the traditions.

Secondly, someone has confirmed that it is supposed to center around the descendants of the old characters. I can live with that, even though I hope that this will at the most be their children like at most 18-20 years in the future. Mostly because there are still so many cool NPC that are around that needs to come back. Unfortunately that means that 2 NPC that had small subplots are not to be expected as they were already at the brink of death. They still made an impact and deserve to return someway. First we have Master Nuyunpa that supposedly starved himself to death. You can speculate that since he appears as a powerful monk with wind attributes (like prediction and mind read), he could probably exist as a spirit or ghost that watch and protect the temple which he served, like a guardian spirit. The Second one is Donpa that must be over 100 years old already so he will probably not survive, but as his father is is still alive thanks to the healing powers of Lemuria it's not impossible that Lunpa returns to take his son with him as compensation to have been gone for all his childhood. Of course there are some older men and women, but as they have no name or purpose they clearly don't have the possibility to survive.

Thirdly and last is the political aspects Weyard faces (yes, I know, I'm a political scientist, I love this sort of things). The city of Lunpa soon faces a complete transition of power from Donpa to Dodonpa that have already dragged the name of Lunpa in the dirt. Tolbi, Weyard's equivalent to the Roman Empire has lost its leader Babi due to old age (he traveled to Lemuria with Lunpa but returned with a storage of potions to prolong his life so he was somewhere around 150 years old). He ruled his city and neighbors with force and now someone need to take over. The only candidate is Iodem but does he have what's necessary? We shall see. Also the city of Lemuria itself stand to face internal struggle between the leader of the senate, Conservato and King Hydros (of course Hydros will be in the next game how many descendants there is as he have lived longer that 2000 years and still have it going). Also, being the worlds most advanced civilization and most powerful military (they have magic for god's sake) as well as being the same alignment as Alex (funny enough it's water that usually is the healing power) they could be anything from the usurped empire or just the plain empire to the Federation. If Babi survived (its not 100% confirmed he died as it is revealed by Alex in a way to make the protagonist continue their quest) it could be a huge battle between Tolbi and Lemuria (Babi was never portrayed as good, but more like a ruler out of touch with reality as he built a tower that was supposed to reach the heavens aka Tower of Babel and that he was despised by those he conquered and feared among his own citizen), also Iodem may continue that as well. I will have to think out more later on. yes, I will bore you out with this for awhile, remember, it's 1 years till it is released and then I will probably talk about how wonderful/bad it is so you have to stick with it. I will try to keep it as the final things in the entries so more important things (whatever more important than this) appears on top.

Thrill Of It All

Funny thing, just zapped through the channels until I saw a football game between Sweden and Denmark. I know one was supposed to be played to day so I was kinda happy to see 3-1 to Sweden so I zapped on. You who know me, knows that I'm not that into sport. Zapped back and it is 3-3. Decided to watch the thrill in the last minute, then suddenly a Danish supporter runs out on the field and hits the judge. An exact copy of 2007 years game between Sweden and Denmark. I'm shocked, not again. So raging about the idiocy of some supporters I begin to see what thy say afterwards. Apparently it was a rerun from 2007 years game. Shows how much I care about the game when I don't even know what time it is supposed to be. Oh well.

Today is Sweden's national day in memory of the crowning of Gustav Vasa and the 1809 years constitution that abolished the absolute monarchy. Not many knows that it these things that is behind this day. Then again, 25% of the people don't know it is election to the European Parliament tomorrow. I wonder how you can miss that when you:
1) Get a voting card sent home to you before the election starts.
2) All Swedish based TV- and Radio-channels have commercials about it and the same goes for the political parties.
3) Every newspaper reports about it in the paper edition and the internet together with the news on the TV-channels.
4) Thousands of bloggs are discussing it.
Then again, the question in particular has been criticized for being vague in what election they discuss about. Apparently it went as "when is the next European Parliament election in Sweden?". It means the one tomorrow but it could likewise be the one in 2014, but you should never say never.

I'm now going to be a bit geeky about yesterdays news but it has been a long wait for it. I just began high school when the last part came out in 2003 and the first part came in early 2001. To ad a little mysticism over it, it was a blizzard hitting us the night before and continued onward to the morning. Everyone was told to stay at home, and when Swedish news says the blizzard could be dangerous, then it most likely is, not some 5 cm snow on the road that stopped a town in England my friend told me of. Of course, I forced my parents out and away to the closest game store, 15 km away from home with me sitting in the car. On our way back home we bought some pizza. I sat in the car with the game in my hands. Mostly green cover with explosions of colors with four heroic characters watching me together with some dangerous looking creatures.

Back home I quickly ate my pizza, ran into my room and began playing. The emotional story, the beautiful music and the colors trapped me in a dreamworld I didn't want to leave, then the storm started and cut the power in the middle of trying to save the ancient fairy tree Tret and the citizens of Kolima from the greed of one woman. This was to the early game boy advance without proper light so I couldn't see what I was doing...if I could play at all as I didn't use batteries but an adapter (much cheaper as mom and dad payed the bill). That was one hours rest before the lights was back on. Still, those things just strengthened the game as it revolved around the four elements and alchemy as well as the game started on a dark and stormy night (like that never happened before). This was a Friday in February, Sunday I reached the end of the game. Then another week to level grind so I could beat the final boss. The twist of the story is that it ends in the middle. Suddenly, at level 40 something after beating the main antagonist but there is still one left the credits begin to roll. Talk about disappointment. Apparently the creators tried to make just one game of the two, but it turned out too big for one cartridge so they decided on two. It was a long wait until 2003 when this appeared:

I got that clip on a dvd from a video game paper so I watched it over and over again (I think it was longer at the dvd). I'm sorry if you think this input is a bit long, but I need to lighten my chest of this joy I feel. Any when it came, I played and it didn't feel the same. It was bigger yes, it was longer yes, the story evolved and had the same class yes, but something missed. Mostly the fact that their never was any fast course on where to go. In the first game you only had one free choice to go at one direction (you still had to go to both, but you could choose which one without problems). That was if to clear Kolima forest first or go to Imil. If you went this line you couldn't go further until you been in Imil cause the curse was still in effect and blocked you from crossing a river. In the second one, when you got a ship of transportation across the ocean, you were on your own, stuck with some riddles on where to go. Then I lose some interest, someone need to tell me where to go, almost, sometimes it's fun to search. Maybe I'm to socialized living in Sweden or it's because I found out those nice guides on the net that tell yo where you should go. It's not cheating, it's just a bit of help.

Golden Sun Rises

Happy days, happy days. First the work at gathering the European Parliaments votes is over and when getting back home I found the best news for 6 years. They are releasing Golden Sun 3 on the Nintendo DS next year. The best portable RPG series ever. If you look at my picture that's the most awesome character in the series, Alex. He appears as the series antagonist before the final battle. Before that he both helps you, competes against you and pitting you against the "supposed to be antagonists". Even at the end we don't know if he's evil or not, we don't know his motives other than that he tries and succeeded in achieving parts of the greatest power in the series and then was banished into the earth by the closest thing called a god. Never utter a single word why he tried to get it or what he thought to use it for. Hopefully he will return as either a final antagonist (that needs to evolve into a dragon with four heads) or as a misunderstood playable character that tries to redeem himself (he deserves that, but it is very unlikely cause all loose ends from the last game indicates that it will be a revengeful odyssey to get was taken from him).

Other loose ends that needs to be cleared is the status of the ruler of the richest and strongest city in the world, Lord Babi, the story of the magical city of Adepts (magicians of sorts) that was elevated to become the moon and the connection with the playable character that was supposed to have fell from the sky, the monk leader that starved himself to save the world and the spoiled leader of once noble theifs, his father and grandfather. And this is only a few of those. It will be a long year until it will be realesed. Unfortunatly it will either be in spring when I'm working on my D-essay or in the autum while I don't know what I'm doing. Of course I must set my priorities stright, it only takes one week full play to complete one of the earlier games so I can probably afford it.

Politicians DON'T know

I'm so pissed of by the election debate. The voters are egoistical bastards that only cares about that they earn less than the politicians, the politicians talk about subjects that have nothing to do with EU like jobs. IT'S A DAMN NATIONAL QUESTION, not a EU question. The zombie of Sweden continuous her idiocy with talking about jobs and collective bargaining. I so much loath that woman, she has no idea how EU works and don't want to be there. My guess is the money and that the social democrats in Sweden hoped to get rid of her for 5 years. And she also says that eu should use the whole budget to create jobs. Wow, I wonder how many of the European peoples are happy to pay for Swedish jobs, oh did she mean that we shall pay the French farmers again. Yeah right.

(Update: She also said we are heading towards a low tax society. Having the second highest tax in the world isn't enough, we must take back the first place. Don't get me wrong, if we need to raise tax to ensure the Swedish welfare, we should do it but they will never lower the taxes that fast that we become a low tax nation, never, because then they would have to make deeper cuts then now in the welfare systems due to the financial crises and definitely lose the next election and some after that.)

And now they discussing nuclear power! What the hell. It is a national question again. I understand if people don't want to vote in this when the politicians and media don't know what they are talking about. They should be glad I'm such a strong believer in the EU that I will vote on Sunday although I don't believe the politicians deserve it. Maybe I should follow Ingvar Carlssons advise that if you don't like it, become a politician. Then again, I'm probably to temperamental when faced with this sort of idiocy.

Music tips for today is The Eternal Idol with Black Sabbath with has the title in its lyrics. A slow but strong song with eerie tones in the beginning until Tony Martin begins with full power. If you are lucky enough you could find the bootleg with Ray Gillen who was intended to sing it, unfortunately the instruments is somewhat blurred due to never get the finishing touch.

Update: LAUNDRY MODEL? WHAT THE HELL? PLEASE, someone wake me from this nightmare! I fear the Swedish future when some people just show some incompetence. (If the person that stated that is reading this, I stand for what I write)

747 (Strangers in the Night)

The essay is finished, yay!!! After 10 long, tormenting weeks of sitting in the library day after day it is so nice that it is over. I think the chair I used has now imprinted my figure on it. The bad thing is, I don't know what I'm supposed to do now until the essays shall be opposed. The weather is supposed to be awful the rest of the week and I don't work with the election tomorrow. I will probably be bored enough to go to the library and sit with the newspaper to solve the crosswords and the sudoko puzzle. At 8 in the morning as usual, I have no life.

More politics. The first name of the Social democrats have said another thing that makes you wonder if she knows anything. The reason for this is that the EU decided to use it's budget to save the jobs by subsidize workers so that they o down in salary and time, but keep their job. She like the idea as it is a social democratic way to preserve jobs anyway the thing is that she then said that it only was existing money that was used to redistribute between the countries. No f***ing s**t. Everything you redistribute is existing money you ignorant idiotic b***h. Anything else would be creating money to give away. I so hate that woman. I hope in the name of god and everything holy in this world that those that votes for (S) votes for other people. If we send someone that (S) don't want in Sweden, why shall we send her to our most important political and economical arena that she will defile with her presence and give Sweden a bad name. And don't say I'm a far-right neo liberalist, I voted for (S) in the latest election when they still stood on their own without the support of a good-but-impossible-to -achieve green party and a to extreme left wing party but they had a leader that said where they were going. Today they don't know where they are going and they definitely don't know how.

To the sad news of the week, we have a suddenly crashed plane in the Atlantic outside of Brazil without warning. It just disappeared. That's what the title of this input is about, almost. It's a good song from the band Saxon about a plane that is out of course over the ocean and panicly calls the air towers to get them straight. Why I take this up is that I traveled with Air France less then half a year ago across the Atlantic on my way home from the US. Not used to flying (6 one-way trip) it's kinda nervous to fly, especially over a body of water. If something happens you gone really. Before the take of I sat and waited to board and listened to my Ipod. In a morbid sense I hoped that that song would come up just for the fun out of it thinking about crashing. It never did and I'm glad something like this didn't happened before I left as I would be so damn nervous. My thoughts is now with the passengers that seems to have crashed in the ocean and let their souls find peace on the other side and hopefully find a better afterlife.

Still, how the hell did it crash? No radio signals or anything that something was amiss. It should have been able to take at least one lightning strike and whatnot. Of course, until they find the black box the most spread solution would be: they were intercepted by Aliens. We should be glad that it was not over the Bermuda Triangle, who knows what that would have started.
